Okhaldhunga is located north east part of Nepal. It’s 400 miles away from the capital. Okhaldhunga is a very remote and rural community not to mention a welcome escape from the pollution of Kathmandu valley. You can go there either by plane (45 minutes flight) or by bus and one day walk. VIN’s planning to work for three village development committee (VDC) namely Taluwa, Thulachhap and Bhadaure. There are over 10,000 polulation which comprize of schedule caste and marginalized people. They are very poor and many children do not enroll for school education and many of them drop out in their primary level.
