With the free medical checkup program provided by the volunteers involved in health volunteering, it has been found that 80 patients of Kavresthali and neighboring villages were benefited. People got free medical facilities near their home and it saved both their money and time. Or else, they would have to spend more time and money to visit the doctor far from their home. In some cases, people do not even go to seek medical until the disease goes worse.
Public health and medical care volunteers, Ana from Netherlands and Justine from France worked in clinic for November. It is the great opportunity to support national health care service delivery through VIN’s free medical care projects.
VIN has been supporting the rural communities with free medical care services since 2009. VIN’s medical team works at health post and conducts health camps in school and villages. It is aimed to improve the quality of health services by providing the health post service.
