Human Trafficking awareness Class in School
VIN supports various programs in community development. There was conducted of human trafficking awareness classes. These classes take place within the women empowerment program. The objective of the project was to aware about the human trafficking mainly in remote areas.
Human trafficking is the illegal movement of people, typically for the purposes of forced labor or commercial sexual exploitation. According to the Report, the most common form of human trafficking (79%) is sexual exploitation. The victims of sexual exploitation are predominantly women and girls.
Recently, Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN) has conducted human trafficking classes in KalikaSarana High school in Tinpiple. Human trafficking classes are run every two days of the week. All the students are taught about the human trafficking-causes, prevention and ideas. Megan who was the international from Canada took the responsibility in human trafficking classes with the help from local volunteer. Human trafficking class has focused in mainly to the new generation students. All Kalika Saran School students from grade (7 to 9) around 75 students took the class for an hour with many type of questions which blundered to them. Many questions were raised about the gender equality and responsibilities. All the students were serious about the subject matter because they had faced such type of problem before.
“If we do not overcome this knowledge crisis we will be fighting the problem blindfolded” which is the famous saying. And project went on with this proverb.
We have sum up all the requirement for the questions and answered all the questions which were raised by the students. The project went good and with positive intension and looking forward to see which type of project soon.
