Initiation of Regular Program Meeting

Empowering the marginalized community is a complex issue. The concept is more about bringing the behavioral change among the people for the sustainable development. But the idea of behavioral change in itself is a challenging idea as it needs people to change their life style and that is so much related to their culture and practices. Running these programs has brought many ups and downs but still VIN is implementing these programs successfully. Yet, VIN felt the need to develop more strategic plan in its program and address the issues that have come up in projects for its smooth operation and sustainability.

In this regard, a team of program; Dr. Laxmi Prasad Ghimire, Program Manager, Mrs. Om Kumari Shrestha, Program Officer, Mr. Shyam Krishna Koirala, Program Officer, Mr. Kishor Bhattrai, Local Facilitator and Mr. Dipak Ghimire, Local Volunteer have reviewed and discussed about existing projects progress updates and future plan on 13 June, 2016. The meeting was leaded, motivated and facilitate by Dr. Suman Kumar Shakya, Program Director of VIN. Although projects are implementing effectively the team has also discussed on priority of month, operation plan and documentation of research findings.

The team members also discussed about the issues they are facing in community of project area. Every staffs had diverse issues depending on the program they are implementing. The interaction did come up with some significant idea and motivated on how to tackle those challenges and run the program in the same pace. The meeting also did set up the upcoming priorities of all projects so that the project activities run even more effectively.
