Sponsored children wrote letter to their sponsors
Volunteers Initiative Nepal has been running the child sponsorship program since 2008. The major aim of this program was to help the community children with poor economical background get education. Under this program, people from international community sponsor a child for their education including their educational materials and help those sponsored children complete certain level of educational degree.
There are many people who sponsor children in their education and it is very important that both parties- the children and the sponsors make regular communication. For this children and sponsor, both of them keep writing each other. Their letter covers various issues. VIN has provided the sponsorship to the 64 children continuously every year with the help of many helping hands from the different countries all over the world till the present. With this sponsorship program, VIN has helped the children in gaining the better education to those children who cannot afford the costly fee and materials which is required in the course of study. The major target is to literate the children and increase the literacy rate, which, in Nepal, is quite disappointing. VIN is trying its best to help and support the children on their physical, mental and social development.
Child sponsorship allows an individual, typically in a developed country, to sponsor, or fund a child in a developing country, until the child becomes self-sufficient. This could mean financially supporting the education, health or security of the sponsored child or in some cases all of these. This could also mean contributing more widely to the child’s community developing without directly helping an individual child.
VIN has prepared the three intakes of the sponsored children to the sponsors and the donors every year. The three intakes are April, August and December of the year. It includes the progress report, Request letter, recent conditions and pictures of the children. VIN collected the above information of the children and sent to our sponsors to update the sponsorship and children. It helps to support our children to get more sponsorship and helps to build the good relationship between the donors and children.VIN helps and supports to manage the communication between the sponsors and sponsored children.
