VIN Supported Free Medical Care Service in Communities
VIN medical team (doctor, nurses and VIN volunteers) worked in Jitpur health post providing Free Medical Care throughout June. The team under community health and medical care project has provided medical services to 145 patients including all age groups. Among them 85 were female. Medical doctor provided medical consultation and health volunteers contributed in taking vitals, to keep record, dressing wound, and maintaining sterilization and supported in pathology lab. All the services provided were free of cost.
It is found that 145 patients from Jitpur and neighboring villages were benefited from VIN medical care support project. People got medical facilities at their home side otherwise they had to spend a lot of money to visit doctor or they won’t go for medical seek until it get worst.
VIN has strategy to strengthen the capacity of community clinics. For this VIN has been supporting medical care services to rural communities of Nepal since 2009. VIN medical team works at health post and conduct health camps in school and villages. It is aimed to improve the quality of health services providing by the health post.
