Your cultural experience and Project Setting: During your time in Nepal, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture. The project is located on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Okhaldhunga, and Nuwakot, offering a unique setting to explore the beauty of Nepal while contributing to meaningful conservation efforts. You will interact with local communities, learn about their traditions, and better understand their connection with the environment.
Food and accommodation: As a volunteer, you will receive three meals daily, following Nepali standards. Accommodation options include hostels or host families, allowing you to experience the local way of life. So that you know, any additional dietary requirements are the volunteer’s responsibility.
Start Dates: The project has start dates available on the first and third Mondays of each month, allowing volunteers to join at their convenience.
Schedule and commitments: Volunteers must commit to at least two weeks, with longer durations preferred. The program will vary depending on the activities and projects being carried out. A typical day may include fieldwork, data analysis, community engagement, and educational sessions.
On Arrival Training: Upon arrival, volunteers will receive a comprehensive orientation that includes project details, health and safety guidelines, language and culture lessons, and excursion planning. This two to three-day training will equip you with the knowledge and skills to contribute meaningfully to the project.
Monitoring and support system: Throughout your volunteer experience, our team will provide ongoing support and monitoring. Regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and guidance will ensure a positive and fulfilling experience. Our staff will be available to discuss any questions or concerns you may have during your time in Nepal.
