Permaculture for Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Farming Volunteer Project in Nepal
Introduction to the project:
Join us in Nepal for an enriching volunteer experience in Permaculture for Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Farming. Discover the transformative power of permaculture and contribute to sustainable food production while immersing yourself in the vibrant Nepali culture.
Nepal is a beautiful country with a rich natural heritage. However, the country’s agricultural sector faces several challenges, including climate change, pests, and soil erosion. This project aims to help local communities adopt sustainable agriculture practices by working with farmers to create permaculture systems. Permaculture is a design system that mimics the patterns and relationships found in nature. It can be used to develop productive and resilient agricultural systems that benefit people and the environment.
Why choose this project?
By choosing our Permaculture for Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Farming project, you can address Nepal’s pressing need for sustainable farming practices. Approximately 38% of forest lands, 37% of pasture/rangeland, and 10% of agricultural land were seriously degraded by Floods, landslides, and soil erosion due to unsustainable methods. There is a critical need to promote permaculture and organic farming techniques to restore the health of the land and ensure food security for local communities.
- Nepal is a beautiful country with a rich natural heritage.
