Nepalese children are every beaming with brightness and full of energies. They have so much to offer but just weren’t given sufficient facilities, tools and resources to cultivate their skills and intelligence. It’s such a waste sadly. Languages, hygiene and grooming, technology knowledge, cultures exposure are just tiny bit of knowledge as us, volunteers, can embark them with. A simple as getting their (children of 4 years old) nose cleaned is something so simple and yet life changing in their personal grooming. As volunteers, I hope I have contributed in however small way I can to help these children expose to the outside world.

Also coming from a developed place, it was truly an overwhelmed experience for me, personally to experience real local community living with extreme basic conditions and facilities. With the electricity cut and living in total darkness (except torch light), it just doesn’t help to elevate the pressure of my first few days of adaptability. However over time, the darkness actually provided me the sight to see the true meaning of Nepalese living and family bonding.

Much that we coming from developed places, can help Nepalese to learn, listen and see better, we also are learning from them the true meeting of living so little and they are rich in their happiness and family bonding and values.
