The Youth Empowerment Program has been intended to address the existing needs of Nepalese youth between 16 to 40 years in marginalized communities. Significant number of youth in Nepal are unemployed, many times this is due to skill mismatch. Awareness is the key to empowerment. Hence, VIN organises Career Development trainings to youth focusing on entrepreneurship. They are also provided with Life Skills session and English classes. Number of youth clubs are formed so as to develop their interpersonal skills and increase participation. Hence, by addressing their needs VIN improves their access to resources and information.

Lack of skills alongside shortage of employment has left thousands of youth in distress and poverty. The economic growth of a country and increment of living standards is directly related youth empowerment. Youth empowerment is achieved by encouraging youth rights and youth activism. Hence, the potential of youth in Nepal is remains untapped. The is an immense need to empower youths of today for a better tomorrow.
